The reality series franchise Love & Hip Hop made its television debut in 2011 and featured rappers and their significant others based in New York City. Following the success of the show, spin-offs in Atlanta, Hollywood, and Miami followed featuring some of the biggest names in hip-hop including Jim Jones, Soulja Boy, Cardi B, Ray J, and Waka Flocka Flame.
The first season of Love & Hip Hop featured Jim Jones and his girlfriend Chrissy Lampkin, Olivia Longott, Rich Dollaz, Swizz Beatz's ex-wife Mashonda Tifrere, and Emily Bustamante, Fabolous' baby mama.
L&HH: Atlanta's original cast included Joseline Hernandez, Stevie J, Karlie Redd, Mimi Faust, Lil Scrappy, Rasheeda, Benzino, and Erica Dixon in 2012, while L&HH: Hollywood (2014) starred Ray J, Soulja Boy, Omarion, Lil Fizz, and Hazel E. More recently, L&HH: Miami premiered in 2018 and centers around rappers Trick Daddy and Trina.
The franchise is produced by Mona Scott-Young. Other L&HH spinoffs include K. Michelle: My Life, Remy & Papoose: Meet the Mackies, and Leave It To Stevie.
